From Ho Chi Minh City, buses and trains are the most convenient means of transportation. For train and bus tickets, tourists should choose a stop in Phan Thiet city, with a travel time of about 4 - 5 hours.
The earliest bus companies to Phan Thiet depart from 5am at Mien Dong bus station or Pho Tay (District 1), ticket prices range from 150,000 - 180,000 VND one way depending on the type of vehicle. If you go by train, you depart from Saigon station in the morning or evening, the ticket price is 110,000 - 160,000 VND one way.

Below is a suggested itinerary for the Phan Thiet - Mui Ne two-day-one-night trip.
Day 1: Suoi Tien - Bau Trang - Mui Ne sand dunes
Departing from Ho Chi Minh City early in the morning, around noon you arrive in Phan Thiet, have lunch in the city center and then return to the hotel or resort to rest.
In the afternoon, Suoi Tien, Bau Trang and Mui Ne sand dunes are the main attractions. If you do not have a personal vehicle, to conveniently travel to the above places, you should rent a jeep for 500,000 - 700,000 VND for a 4- and 7-seat car, or join a group car for 100,000 VND per person.
Suoi Tien is a small stream flowing along the red and white cliffs, with shallow and cool water. Therefore, a unique experience at this destination is to take off your shoes and wade along the stream on the fine sand. After about 2km, you will come across a stream flowing into a small waterfall, where you can cool off. Entrance ticket costs 15,000 VND per person.

Bau Trang is about 40km from Suoi Tien, a pure white sand dune area known as the "mini Sahara desert", one of the most beautiful sand dunes in Vietnam. In the middle of Bau Trang area, there is a freshwater lake where lotus flowers bloom all year round.
At Bau Trang, you can experience walking along the road through the sand dunes, rowing a boat in the middle of the lotus lake and driving an off-road vehicle through large sand dunes. Per person, the price to rent an off-road vehicle to the top of the hill is 200,000 VND, the car to go through the lotus lake is 300,000 VND, and the price to rent a rowing boat in the lotus lake is 100,000 VND.
Mui Ne sand dunes, located near the tourist center of Mui Ne, is the last place to visit on the first day. This place is most beautiful at sunset, the sun shines obliquely on the sand dunes, highlighting the red-orange color of the sand and casting shadows, creating a magical scene.
There is also a jeep rental service here. In addition, sandboarding service also attracts tourists, the price is 20,000 VND per turn to rent a board. Try the specialty banh bot loc sold at the foot of the hill, priced at 20,000 - 30,000 VND per portion.

Day 2: Mui Ne Beach - Phan Thiet City
In the morning, the sea in Mui Ne has few waves and clear water, you should go swimming and then check out and move to Phan Thiet City.
On the way back, Mui Ne fishing village is a place for visitors who want to buy fresh seafood to take home, or have lunch here.
